SPC Conversations: A Year of Impact in Nigeria—and the Work Ahead

As the year draws to a close and we look ahead to 2026, we pause to reflect on the impact of our work at Solidarity with the Persecuted Church (SPC). In this special episode, SPC President Steven Wagner and Board Vice President Greg Gross recap a year of focused advocacy—successfully raising awareness with the U.S. government of the violence against Christians in Nigeria and garnering support for persecuted communities on the ground.

We mark meaningful progress, including the U.S. government’s designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern and the recent release of schoolchildren kidnapped from a Catholic school. These developments offer real hope and affirm the power of sustained attention and action.

At the same time, the violence has not ended. Continued vigilance and engagement remain urgently necessary. Steven Wagner outlines the specific SPC initiatives—large and small—that can build on this momentum and extend protection and relief to those who need it most.

We are deeply grateful for your support and partnership. Together, we can continue to stand with Christians in Nigeria and work toward an end to persecution.
