Water for Persecuted Christians in Nigeria: A Special SPC event in Napa, California

A million Christians are displaced by violence in Nigeria’s Benue State, living in camps where access to clean, reliable water remains an urgent daily need. Solidarity with the Persecuted Church (SPC) is working to secure a water truck that can deliver essential fresh water directly to internally displaced persons (IDP) camps in and around Makurdi.

Watch excerpts from a special SPC gathering in Napa, California, with remarks from Steve Wagner, President of Solidarity with the Persecuted Church; Brian Burch, Ambassador of the U.S. to the Holy See; Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of the Archdiocese of San Francisco; and Father Remy of the Diocese of Makurdi in Benue State, Nigeria, who speaks to the realities faced by displaced Christian communities. The event was introduced by Mark Randall, Chair of the annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

A water truck can make an immediate, tangible difference in the lives of thousands of Christians forced from their homes by violence and persecution. We invite you to learn more about SPC’s work in Nigeria and help make this vital project possible.

Your support can bring clean water—and hope—to families who have already endured so much.
