SPC on the Ground: Video Updates from Nigeria (Part II)

Our team has returned from Nigeria, only days before violent attacks against Christians in Benue State. While on the ground, SPC President Steve Wagner and filmmaker Jordan Allott spoke with clergy and parishioners across denominations, visited camps for internally displaced people, collected testimonials, distributed food, and identified concrete projects that SPC can help fund to improve the dire situation of Christians in Nigeria.

In this poignant video update, you can see SPC’s team visiting a market outside of Abuja to purchase produce for displaced Christians.

At the IDP camp, they learn about the plight of these families whose greatest desire is to return to their homes.

As our team concluded their time in Nigeria, SPC President Steve Wagner attended Sunday mass and reflected on the powerful testimonials that SPC filmed on the ground from surviving Christians who told their stories, from a brave girl who was kidnapped to a priest who stood strong in his faith although his life was on the line.

Thank you for helping us provide vital support to these Christians, and please stay tuned for more ways to contribute to specific projects that will significantly improve their safety and quality of life.
