The Rev. Macdonalid-Radcliff took advanced degrees from Oxford and Yale in Ancient History, Philosophy of Religion, Islam, and International Relations. After ordination, he worked for the 103rd Archbishop of Canterbury and served as Senior Advisor to the World Economic Forum, where he designed the Council of One Hundred Leaders to promote dialogue between the West and Islamic leaders.
He also served as Advisor to the King Abdullah Dialogue Centre in Vienna (KAICIID) and as Dean of All Saints’ Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt, where he worked extensively on interfaith matters and sustainable development.
This rich conversation provides insightful perspectives on the challenges and persecution that Christians face around the world, with a particular focus on the recent history and current situation in Nigeria and Egypt, respectively. In this context, the Reverend Canon Alistair Macdonald-Radcliff also reflects on interdenominational and interfaith dialogue and its role in furthering support for persecuted Christians. He discusses the unity of Christians across denominations in the body of Christ, and the impact that the U.S. and the American people can have in helping the persecuted Church around the globe.
Please stay tuned for more SPC Conversations, and thank you for supporting our mission.
